Most Popular Song Requests by Students

In recent weeks, many of my students have asked how to play "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand. So, here's a quick transcription of the main groove from "Take Me Out".


This is a version of what I (and many others) call the "pea soup" beat; the name describes the sound made by the opening and closing of the hi-hat.




The open hi-hat is indicated by the "o" above the notes, and the "+" represents the closing of the hi-hat, with the foot. Good luck!
